The 27th annual Tulip festival is in bloom now through April 30th. Several fields of flowers have burst into bloom and are ready for your viewing pleasure. Celebrating spring for over 27 years – the Skagit Valley Tulip Festival annually welcomes hundreds of thousands of visitors from around the world to enjoy the brilliant hues of spring as hundreds of acres of tulips burst into bloom with a veritable rainbow of colors. The festival runs the entire month of April so visitors to the area can see the wonderful blossoms and take in a few other events and activities, ranging from street fairs and art shows to athletic events, including a tulip bike ride, a tulip run and a 110-team basketball tournament.
Our spring weather is wet and cool, so be sure to bring shoes that can get muddy; you might want an umbrella and be sure to bring a warm coat as it is always cooler out in the fields of flowers.
The Skagit Valley Tulip festival is located a little over 1 hour from Olympic View Bed and Breakfast Cottage in Seattle, Washington. Great day trip that you don’t want to miss out on.
